The Border Deep Sea Angling Association is affiliated, implements and complies with the constitution and rules of the South African Deep Sea Angling Association in the Border area as a Provincial controlling body.

The objectives for which the BDSAA is established are to foster and control deep sea angling for sport and recreation from boats in the Border area.

• Keep accurate records of fish caught on rod, reel and line from a craft at sea.
• Award trophies, certificates and Border Colours to anglers representing our province.
• Organise competitions in the sport of deep sea angling.
• Select suitably qualified anglers for National and Inter-Provincial competitions in the sport of deep sea angling.
• Promote marine resource management on the Border.
• Foster the safety of deep sea anglers at sea.

Membership of this Association is open to amateur deep sea anglers who belong to a club that is affiliated to the BDSAA.

We encourage all clubs to promote marine conservation and adhere to the BDSAA rules to foster good camaraderie amongst anglers and affiliated clubs.
